5. Supervision and Research

I am passionate about executing new ideas, big or small. I see every single event as the potential of idea generator. My research interest lies in the development of drug delivery system using solid dispersion technique and the used of polymeric material in the said system. On top of that, I involved in herbal product formulation, in particular, Roselle, curcumin, Curculingo latifolia and etc. I believe that publication should be on both sides of stories instead of success-led.

Community and social well-being are always my overarching vision in research. Following that, research projects related to the environment, quality of life for patients and students are always part of my research interests. To name a few, water conservation from the distillation process, reducing patient waiting time via interactive management system, workbook reduction in student learning among primary school pupils and etc. To me, research is not just a career but an integral part of my life goal to bring change.

My supervising style is coaching. My research students can addressed me by name based on their preferences. This is to demolish any unnecessary barrier in idea exchange during research discussion. I did not teach the student but I coach them. They are not a copy of myself but after my coaching they will be a better one compared to their previous-self.
