MY TEACHING PHILOSOPHY

Hello everyone, my name is Andi Arnaisah Binti Andi Arnis, I am from Sabah.

From my childhood, I wanted to be a teacher because of seeing the efforts of my teachers to teach. During elementary school, I loved math subjects, but I always failed in those subjects. I often got low grades in class and almost gave up in math subjects, but due to the teachers who were always diligent and helpful to me, I finally graduated and was able to get A grades from UPSR, PT3 and SPM. Therefore, I aspire to be a teacher in order to help my students as well.

Being a teacher is not an easy thing. Teachers are the people who will educate the future of the country. I have chosen special education as my future career. I chose this career because I wanted to teach students with disabilities to be a better person and be able to compete with others. I also want to learn to be grateful and be a useful person to others. I will learn to be more patient and caring for my students. I believe that even if they are disabled students but they are capable of being someone in the future.

My teaching philosophy is that I believe that all students have their own specialties. I will strive to find my students ’privileges patiently and not give up. I want to be a teacher who can understand what my students want. I will never compare my students with each other. This is because, each student has their own advantages that need teacher assistance such as in sports, communication, education and others. As a teacher, we need to celebrate and be proud of the achievements of our students in all areas.

In teaching, I will always use fun learning. I will use various teaching aids to ensure that students enjoy and are happy throughout their learning. I will avoid fines, but prefer to give gifts or compliments if my students can show a good attitude. I took an example from the learning process through the observation of model behavior as a model from Albert Bandura because I wanted to be a role model for my students. I will make sure my teaching is not only to achieve learning goals but also want to be closer and communicate with my students. I want them to be comfortable to ask questions and study with me. This can make learning more fun and excited.

That’s all from me, hopefully I can be a good and beneficial teacher for my students one day. Thank you.
