Education Empowers Change
About my teaching philosophy
As academia, I specialise in managerial economics, socio-economic and market economics. I will continue my passion for knowledge and research, particularly in the area of consumer behaviour and choice modeling, halal consumption in non-Muslim countries, literacy and well-being related areas. I believe that the research help in my teaching, especially sharing the real world issues to the students. I strongly believe that the right knowledge is the power to succeed.
In teaching, the case teaching method is emphasised. The case method trains students to think as a decision maker (rather than as scholars), so that they see a problem and looking for solutions rather than a concept looking for applications; take action, and not merely reporting the outcomes.
All students are individual and everyone learns in their own unique way. I use multiple methods of teaching (linguistic, visual, flipped classroom, forum, games, and quizzes) to reach students, so that no one is left behind. In my classes, all of us are teachers, lecturers, facilitators. We learn and grow together for better tomorrow of the society, the nation, and the world.
