This course examines and discusses the role of education and training sector in the development of human resource of a particular country. Improvement in education and training system has been an important agenda in development especially among developing countries like Malaysia. Apart from this, selected issues will be discussed in detail in order to foster a more comprehensive understanding about the relationship between education, human resource and national development. The selected issues include the contribution of education in the development of human capital, equity, equality, quality, diversity and challenges facing the education and training system in the era of globalization.
