This course introduces students to the theory and practice of software testing. The discussion of the course focuses on the importance of software testing in producing quality software. This includes the study on the fundamentals of testing which includes the principles of testing, unit, integration, system, regression and acceptance testing.
At the end of this course the students will be able to:
• CLO 1 - Demonstrate the knowledge of software testing theory, principles, techniques and the importance of software testing. (PO1, C3)
• CLO 2 - Apply testing techniques and assessments that are appropriate to the system requirements. (PO2, C5)
• CLO 3 - Construct testing scenarios and programming scripts based on the testing principles and techniques of the International Software Testing Qualifications Board (ISTQB). (PO3, P4)
At the end of this course the students will be able to:
