ABOUT ME

Assalamualaikum,

My name is Dr. Nur Syamsina Ahmad. I was born into a family so-called 'Sports family'. My father is an athlete, my uncle is an athlete, and also my husband is an athlete. All in the same field kind of sport which is football. I am a book worm student and don't really love sports so much. I am a dancer since secondary school.
One day I received an offer from USM for a sports science course, I reluctantly accepted it and the first subject I need to learn was football. I felt very difficult at that time because I don't like it and even did not know how to kick the ball. I almost change the course at that time. But my dad told me that the sports science course at USM is very good and one day I can be a doctor of sport. I believed him and I continue until the end of the semester.
Apparently I realized that sports science in USM does not want to be born an athlete but in fact, this course is about to be born a sport scientist which is concurrently similar to my ambitious to be an educator and scientist. Then, after graduating I further my studies in master and Ph.D. of sports science. My Ph.D. is form University Malaya. Now I'm a sports science lecturer and became a specialist in sports nutrition and exercise.
Thus as a sports science lecturer rather than to choose football as my sports, I choose dancing as my passion and interest. Through dancing, I can express myself and take care of my body shape, physical fitness, and mental health.
Now I am a mother of two lovely kids who enjoy doing an exercise and talk about a healthy diet. I would like to thank all my family members and helpful lecturers who involved in my never-ending story
