My Teaching Philosophy

The teaching philosophy is a statement of one’s beliefs and thoughts about what’s important in teaching and learning.

Learning should be a two way process, from teacher/ lecturer to student and vice versa.Learning is not just a mere of knowledge seeking but it should incorporates values and behaviors in one self.

I would like to become  an exceptional educator and competent surgeon and always challenge my self to improve my teaching method.

Pandemic Covid -19 hits us hard and this new era marks the rise of virtual teaching and online courses and this is a brand new challenges for me as clinician as well as dental lecturer.

Being an academician during pandemic era.

Things are changing, and fast. Our whole world is changing. In a short time, we were told to figure out how to transfer everything to an online setting.

Everyone is worried that this will affect their relationships with students but i believe that things will change.

For me, to make sure my teaching philosophy works during this pandemic era, the following "CRISIS" questions need to be addressed

1.Capability: What are the capabilities of my learning platform, myself, and  my students?

2.Reliability: Are my plans reliable?

3.Inability: What I am  not able to do in this situation?

4.Suitability: Are my plans suitable for the current situations.

5.Ingenuity: How can I be ingenious and still hold true to my teaching philosophy?

6.Sustainability: Is what I am  doing sustainable in the long term?
