This course provides a comprehensive understanding of the principles and applications of spectroscopy in scientific research and industry. It covers the theory behind various spectroscopic techniques, including rotational spectroscopy, vibrational spectroscopy, electronic spectroscopy, photoelectron spectroscopy, Auger electron spectroscopy (AES), and X-Ray Fluorescence spectroscopy (XRF), while emphasizing their practical applications in chemical analysis and materials science. Additionally, the course introduces common units in spectroscopy using general equipment for absorption, scattering, and emission experiments, and discusses the interaction of electromagnetic radiation with atoms and molecules.
