This course provides an in-depth understanding of the fundamental principles of diagnostic radiology from a physics perspective. It covers key topics such as X-ray production, image formation, radiation interactions with matter, radiological equipment, and the principles behind various diagnostic imaging techniques including X-ray, CT, fluoroscopy, and mammography. Emphasis is placed on the safe and effective use of ionizing radiation in medical diagnostics, radiation protection, image quality optimization, and advancements in radiology technology. Students will gain both theoretical knowledge and practical skills to critically analyze and improve diagnostic radiology applications in medical settings.
