Lectures will cover topics such as the zoning of oceans and rivers/lakes in the cycle of elements and gases in seawater systems as well as freshwater systems and an introduction to the movement of water, waves and ocean currents. Sampling techniques, use of oceanographic equipment as well as limnology and analysis of seawater and freshwater to be performed in laboratories and fieldwork.
