This course aims to introduce students to hyperautomation, artificial intelligence (AI) and robotic process automation (RPA). At the end of the course, students would have attained sufficient knowledge, developed skills and mastered tools that will prepare them for Industrial Revolution 4.0. This course also strengthens interpersonal skills through group projects related to the industry and community. This course is also an extension of WMU102 Makers@USM.

This course aims to introduce hyperautomation under the Makers@USM program to develop students' STEM skills in line with the industrial revolution 4.0 (IR 4.0) through creative exploration of new concepts and ideas in the process of finding 'outside the box' solutions to produce projects that include automation and artificial intelligence elements. Students will be exposed to basic practical skills such as robotic process automation, deep learning, machine learning and artificial intelligence project management in theoretical and practical forms. Group work assignments and capstone projects to produce mini projects in hyperautomation will be practiced in this course to foster STEM skills, leadership, a spirit of unity and entrepreneurship through joint projects involving industry and the community. This course emphasises the sustainable development goals of SDG9: industry, innovation and infrastructure.
