Kursus ini memberi gambaran komprehensif tentang teknologi kultur tisu tumbuhan konvensional dan terkini termasuk sejarah, keperluan makmal, penyediaan media, teknik aseptik serta faktor yang mempengaruhi pertumbuhan kultur in vitro. Ia turut merangkumi propagasi, pengawetan germplasma, kultur protoplas, haploid, krioawetan, kejuruteraan genetik, aplikasi komersial dan isu etika bioteknologi tumbuhan.
This course provides a comprehensive overview of conventional and modern plant tissue culture technologies. It covers history, laboratory requirements, media preparation, aseptic techniques, and factors influencing in vitro growth. Topics include plant propagation, germplasm conservation, disease-free plants, protoplast and haploid cultures, somatic hybridization, cryopreservation, genetic engineering, commercial applications, and ethical and regulatory issues.
