Kursus ini ditawarkan bagi memberi pendedahan kepada pelajar tentang bidang Bioinformatik dan cara untuk mengendalikan dan menganalisa data-data biologi seperti jujukan DNA dan protein. Topik-topik utama yang terlibat dalam kursus ini seperti pengenalan kepada bioinformatik dan pengaplikasian pangkalan data untuk mencari kesamaan jujukan DNA dan protein menggunakan FASTA dan BLAST.
This course is offered to expose the students to the Bioinformatics and steps to retrieve and analyze biological data such as DNA and protein sequences. The main topics involved in this course are the introduction of bioinformatics and the application of some databases to find DNA sequences and proteins using FASTA and BLAST.
