Kursus ini memperkenalkan kaedah dan strategi dalam kejuruteraan protein serta teknik modifikasi protein. Teori dan konsep reka bentuk rasional dan evolusi terarah dibincangkan bagi membolehkan pelajar menghubungkait struktur dengan fungsi protein, menilai kesan mutasi serta mencadangkan strategi pengubahsuaian protein untuk menghasilkan ciri dan fungsi yang dipertingkatkan.
This course introduces methods and strategies in protein engineering and protein modification. Theories and concepts of rational design and directed evolution are discussed to enable students to relate protein structure to function, evaluate the effects of mutations, and propose protein modification strategies for producing proteins with enhanced characteristics and functions.
