Kursus ini memperkenalkan konsep penyakit tumbuhan melalui interaksi patogen-perumah dan faktor persekitaran. Ia merangkumi simptomatologi, etiologi, inokulum, kepatogenan, kevirulenan, patogenesis serta pertahanan perumah. Turut dibincangkan patogen seperti virus, bakteria, nematod dan tumbuhan parasit, termasuk kitar hidup, kitar penyakit, penghasilan, kemandirian dan penyebaran inokulum.
This course introduces the concept of plant diseases through interactions between pathogens and hosts influenced by environmental factors. It covers symptomatology, etiology, inoculum, pathogenicity, virulence, pathogenesis, and host defense mechanisms. It also discusses pathogens such as viruses, bacteria, nematodes, and parasitic plants, including their life cycles, disease cycles, and the production, survival, and dissemination of inoculum.
