Kursus ini pada mulanya akan mengulangkaji konsep dan teknik asas teori kebarangkalian. Pelajar kemudiannya akan diperkenalkan dengan tumpuan utama pentaabiran statistik. Penekanan akan diberi kepada topik yang dirangkumi dalam fasa ini, yakni, penganggaran titik, penganggaran selang dan pengujian hipotesis.
This course will initially revise the basic concepts and techniques on probability theory. Students will then be introduced to the main focus of statistical inference. Emphasis should be given to the topics covered in this phase, namely, point estimation, interval estimation and tests of hypotheses.
