My Teaching Philosophy
My Teaching Philosophy
‘a great teacher takes a hand, opens a mind, and touches a heart’.
Thinking about this quote and what it means is very simple to me: its means that we as a teacher need to truly care about our students and when we do, it is great for their souls.
Every student deserves the opportunity to pursue an education. Students construct meaning and learn through the interaction on the social platform provided by the teacher, as claimed by Vygotsky. The outcome of learning is great when students learn something meaningful and relate to their previously experience.
“What a child can today with assistance, she will be able to do by herself tomorrow”-Lev Vygotsky
I am responsible for planning, implementing and evaluating effective teaching by actively engaging students in learning, encourage student’s participation in activities, discussion, asking question, giving opinion and solving problems. The key element of successful teaching and learning is the Interaction between me and the students.
My belief, my goal, my role, my strength...
I love my jobs as a lecturer. It taught me so many things inside out. Being a lecturer is not just a profession, it is a mission. I loved to educate and was passionate about education. I firmly believe that each individual has their own potential to succeed and it is my duty to unleash their hidden potential.
As a lecturer, I understand that our role is not only transmitting the knowledge but to nature our students to become a responsible person. My responsibility in their lives is to make sure that my students are getting the best education possible so that they can succeed in whatever they choose. Teaching mathematics would give me the best platform for me because, Mathematics is the best medium to develop an individual’s potential, intellectual proficiency and human capital due to its nature that encourages logical and systematic thinking. So that, my primary goal is to guide the way to enable the individual to grow as a responsible learner and later as a worthy person. The passionate, firm, responsible and successful students are my strengths.
