This course aims to expose students to the knowledge and advanced clinical training in pediatric dentistry in order to assist them in the effective management of dental problems that related to the pediatric patients with a critical thinking. In addition, this course also can cultivate students' communication skills effectively and ability to work in multidisciplinary teams including medical teams in relation to the welfare of pediatric patients.

The candidates will undertake their clinical attachments at medical specialist clinics (anesthesiology, pediatrics, emergency and surgery) and at oral maxilofacial surgery (OMFS) specialist clinic. A supervisor from the Medical Department and OMFS Department will be appointed to supervise the candidates throughout the period. Candidates will be able to observe and handle the relevant more complex cases that appropriate to paediatric patients in this clinical training
