This course introduces students to the concept and knowledge of basic principles in hematology. It covers topics pertaining structure and function of blood cells, haematopoiesis, introduction to anaemia and haemostasis. The course will be conducted via integrated teaching and learning approach, which comprise of lectures, practical and presentations. Students’ knowledge will be assessed through tests, practical skills (SPOT/OSPE), and final examination, while their soft skills such as communication skill and thinking skill will be assessed through practical report and presentations. At the end of the course, the students will be equipped with the concepts and knowledge for the best practices in discipline of basic hematology
