WELCOME TO THE GTB408 BIOMEDICAL PRACTICUM COURSE!
COURSE SYNOPSIS:
This course exposes students to the best practice in clinical diagnostic laboratory services for the sustainability of health and quality of life. Students are given opportunities to acquire knowledge and experience as well as to observe, perform, analyze and interpret the test results. Students are also trained to identify and solve problems in laboratory services; implement quality control programs; do troubleshooting and manage the diagnostic laboratory. Students are also provided with knowledge and skills on phlebotomy, knowledge on the “One Health” concept, medical laboratory devices technology, laboratory security or safety system, and good laboratory practice. The course is conducted via practical training and discussion. The students are evaluated through practical tests, discussion, presentation, and logbook.
