This course will enable the students to understand the standard nutrition care process and therapeutic diet for renal, cancer, rheumatoid, pediatric, and developmental disabilities. Students will be taught on how to prepare a menu plan based on principle of medical nutrition therapy including the use of formula/ pediatric formula with aims to help improved the quality of nutrition and health of patients. Each topic will discuss about the theoretical and practical aspects of the medical nutrition therapy that has to be given to the patients with various diseases include those with special needs. Students will be assessed through test, assignment, presentation, and final examination.
