This course introduces students to basic concepts and theories in criminology. This knowledge would enable students to understand issues and problems of specific crime clusters for example youth, environment, media, technology, and others. It also explores equality, human rights, safety, and crime prevention related to the population and poverty. The contents of this course addresses two UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDG): SDG16 (Peace, Justice & Strong Institutions) and SDG17 (Partnership for the Goals).This course will be taught via lecture and discussion. Students will be assessed through tests, an assignment, a report, a discussion, and a final examination.
