Lectures will cover topics such as the zoning of oceans and rivers/lakes. The cycling of elements and gases in seawater systems as well as freshwater systems will be discussed. Movement of water, waves, and ocean currents will be introduced to students. Sampling techniques, use of oceanographic equipment as well as limnology and analysis of seawater and freshwater will be performed in laboratories and during fieldwork.
