- Instrumental Analysis side of analytical chemistry.
Ultraviolet-visible, Fourier Transform, Inductively Coupled Plasma and Atomic Absorption are the spectroscopic techniques introduced to allow students to characterise the reactants and products of reactions.

Sukatan ini bertujuan mengukuhkan latar belakang kimia asas dan kimia gunaan pelajar. Para pelajar akan mempelajari asas-asas kimia organik, kimia tak organik dan kimia analisis beralat. Kaedah-kaedah spektroskopi seperti UV-Vis, FT-IR, ICP dan AAS diperkenalkan bagi pencirian bahan dan hasil tindak balas.
