
COURSE SYNOPSIS:
1) To study the relationship between plants and humans (the origins of agriculture,
the contribution of plants to the world's economy).
2) Important crops, major producing countries, strategies in improving quality and
productivity, processing methods and plant's chemical active ingredients are also
discussed.
3) Components of ethnobotany that study on the traditional use of plant especially by
the indigenous people is also stressed.
