This course exposes students to the basics of computer security, such as threats and how to respond to them, database, software security, intrusion detection, intrusion prevention, firewalls, defending against denial-of-service attacks, concepts of trusted computing, cryptographic techniques and algorithm,s and multi-level security are discussed in detail.
