This course focuses on the separation of biological products that apply the basic principles of mass and energy transfer. The advantages and limitations of operating units involved in the processes of recovery, segregation, purification and refinement of biological products will be discussed in detail. Important elements related to the best manufacture practices in biochemical and pharmaceutical industries will also be discussed.
