THIS COURSE INTRODUCES STUDENTS TO THE BASIC ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES OF A DIRECTOR FROM CHOOSING OF TEXT, TO CASTING ACTORS, WORKING WITH DESIGNERS, REHEARSING AND INTEGRATING THE CREATIVE ELEMENTS INTO A COHESIVE PERFORMANCE. STUDENTS EXPERIENCE EACH OF THE STEPS INVOLVED IN THE DIRECTORIAL PROCESS AS WELL AS TECHNIQUES AND STRATEGIES OF DIRECTING.

100% ASSESSMENT OF COURSEWORK;

1. ASSIGNMENTS (30%) - Vocal Projection Workshop Management (30 May - 2 June 2024) - Assessment based on the distribution of responsibilities and roles of the committee.

2. PRESENTATION (20%) - PREPARATION FOR THE READER'S THEATRE

3. STAGE PERFORMANCE (50%) - READER'S THEATRE - 1 JULY 2024
