This course is designed to provide students with basic skills in gaining knowledge about research methods that can be applied in the study of economic issues. This course emphasizes the process of carrying out research that begins with describing the background of the study and highlighting the research question(s), conducting a literature review, and outlining the appropriate research method that focuses on quantitative and/or qualitative methods. At the end of the course, students are asked to write a research proposal for the purpose of academic research and present their research proposal.
