PLG734 : Teori dan Perkembangan Kurikulum (Curriculum Theory and Development)

Kursus ini membincangkan teori-teori kurikulum dan perkembangan kurikulum secara global dengan terperinci. Fokus isi perbincangan adalah penganalisisan kritis terhadap pelbagai aliran pemikiran kurikulum yang berlaku dalam sistem pendidikan dunia. Penelitian turut ditumpukan kepada: Metafora kurikulum; inkuiri kurikulum; Rasionalisme dalam perkembangan kurikulum; epistemologi panca paradigma dan paradigma kurikulum; perspektif-perspektif kemanusian, teknologi, kognitif, rekonstruksionisme, eksistensialisme; Islamisme dan pasce-modenisme. Pertalian antara teori-teori kurikulum dengan tamadun dan kebudayaan manusia di sesuatu tempat turut diberi tumpuan dalam kursus ini.

This course discusses in detail the theories of curriculum and curriculum development globally. The content of the discussion focus on critical analysis of the various lines curricular though that occurs in the world education system. The study also focused on: curriculum metaphors; curriculum inquiry; rationalism in curriculum development; the five epistemological paradigms and curriculum paradigms; perspectives of humanity, technological, cognitive, reconstructioism, existentialism; Islamism and post-modernism. The relationship between curriculum theories and human civilization and culture of a place is also emphasized in this course.
