At present, traffic issues and problems in major cities are worsened. These issues and problems are difficult to solve and overcome unless there is proper and comprehensive traffic planning. Thus the main objective of traffic planning course is to educate and inculcate the knowledge of traffic planning to the students in order to prepare them to be knowledgeable town planners. Finally, it is hoped that the students are well versed to undertake a systematic traffic planning approach towards efficient traffic managements; infrastructure planning, land use planning, public transportation planning, pedestrians and parking facilities and etc.
